Add your two layers.

Create two Browser sources in OBS. Set both to 1920 × 1080, or the size of your OBS canvas. The background is transparent.

○ Chat bridge connected

Keep these links private. The studio and dock links control your overlay; OBS links display its chat. To share Costa Chat with friends, share the website address without anything after #.

Keep this studio or your connected dock open.

No Costa Chat app is needed. Keep Streamer.bot and TikFinity running on the same computer as the connected studio. If your OBS dock cannot reach them, leave the studio open in Chrome. Turn off “Shutdown source when not visible” in both sources.

Changes here update both sources automatically. Put your camera cutout above Back chat; an opaque camera will hide anything behind it.

STEP 2

Make space behind you.

Your camera needs a transparent background in OBS. Costa Chat does not upload or process your camera.

  1. Green screen: in OBS, right-click your camera → Filters → Effect Filters → Chroma Key. Adjust until the screen disappears.
  2. No green screen: use a background-removal filter compatible with your OBS version and computer. The full guide links to an option and explains setup.
  3. Place your cutout between Back chat and Front chat. If you want your room visible, keep an unfiltered camera below Back chat.
